Our Mission

Our mission is to rescue abandoned domesticated animals and provide safe haven while they are rehabilitated and retrained to lead full and productive lives.

What sets us apart from other rescues and shelters:

• Our goal to be self-sustaining.
• We operate a thrift store to help support our efforts.
• We believe that village-style living for pets is a must in reducing their stress level.
• We plan to rehabilitate dogs to fulfill their breed-type purpose.
• We will offer programs for at-risk children and teens as well as the elderly for a chance to interact with animals, caring for them and developing a trusting relationship.

On Angels’ Wings Inc. was formed in 2007 by a group of dedicated animal lovers who believe that they can make a difference in saving the lives of abandoned pets and making their existence meaningful.

On Angels’ Wings (OAW) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned pets in McHenry County, working alongside the other rescue and shelter groups in our community to reduce the number of euthanized pets due to homelessness to zero.

On Angels’ Wings is dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned pets and making their lives meaningful.  We believe that animals help people with their issues just as people help animals.
